Hi all
As you know, we have moved the first Premier Division game from 20th of April to Monday 27th of May
However, the weather is not getting better and grounds are already so saturated with no signs of improvement.
The SCCL executive met again and have gained full ratification from the full 25 member committee.
- in the Premier Division, we will be moving the game on 27/04/24 to the 26/08/24 Bank Holiday Monday, sadly the 11-11 format is affected, and the game on Monday 26/08 will have to be a stand alone WLD game in amongst the Win Lose games.
- in all other divisions (bar Sunday Division 3) the games on Saturday 27/04 and Sunday 28/04, will move to Saturday 28/09 and Sunday 29/09, the formats will still be 11/11, but of course the changeover date will move back one week - (These were due to change format on 13/07, they will now will change on 20/07)
- In Sunday Division 3 of course, the fixtures that are scheduled for 28/04 (see below)
Sunday 28th April
Madeley 4 v Frankwell 3
Knockin & Kinnerley 4 v Frankton 3
Sentinel 4 v Broseley 2
St Georges 5 v Bridgnorth 4
Oswestry 4 v Bye
Will now take place on Sunday 01/09. Then on 08/09/24, we split the division, with the top 4 playing each other on the 8th, 15th and 22nd of September and the bottom 5 playing 2 more matches over the 8th, 15th and 22nd of September
We wanted to let clubs know this evening, so that their groundsmen are not slaving away this weekend trying to get ready for the 27th, hopefully this action byes more time.
Over the next few days Craig Simms/Steve Cansdale and I will update the Play Cricket and League Websites to reflect the changes. Thanks for your patience on this
Finally, please remember the Captains meeting on Tuesday 16/04/24 from 7.30pm at Harlescott Social Club - The Agenda was sent out earlier in the month.
