Scorers Course

Club Scorer in Shropshire - 2nd November and 9th November 2019

Shropshire ACO are pleased to be hosting the Club Scorer Course at Wrekin College Sports Hall, conference room on 2 consecutive Saturday's, 2nd November and 9th November 2019.  This is a 2 day course and runs from 9.30 am to 4.30pm on both days. Participants need to be able to attend BOTH Saturdays.

Club Scorer is the course for anyone wanting scoring on a regular basis and is the only one to comprehensively teach you how to score. This course is suitable for complete beginners and existing scorers who want to improve their skills. On completion of the course you will receive an ECB ACO Club Scorer attendance certificate.

This course is a great way to begin learning about cricket scoring, even if you have had a taster through the On-line course or the Introduction to scoring course. It is the only course to comprehensively teach you how to score through face to face learning with the opportunity to ask questions and score matches using specially-filmed matches.  It is the starting point for anyone wanting to become a certified scorer so that after the course and throughout the season candidates can collect records and build up a portfolio ready for a professional discussion for level 1.

The course will be held in the conference room at Wrekin College Sports Centre with directions to the room provided from the main entrance.

The club scorer course comes with a scorer’s pack which includes a backpack, other scoring essentials and all the handouts for the course.  The course fee also includes your first year’s membership of ECB ACO (Membership is optional and subject to meeting the application criteria).

Scoresheets and handouts will be provided but participants will need to bring a notebook for any additional notes they may want to make, plus pens/pencils, rubber, ruler and a calculator can be useful too.

The cost for the course is £ 30.00 and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
